PROSTHODONTICS

Prosthodontics is the branch of dentistry pertaining to the restoration and maintenance of oral functions, comfort, appearance and health of a patient by the restoration of natural teeth and/or the replacement of missing teeth and tissues with artificial substitutes.

A prosthodontist is a dental specialist in the restoration and replacement of teeth. Extensive training and education provide prosthodontists with the skills for restoring optimum function and esthetics to your smile. These include: crowns, bridges, veneers, inlays, complete and removable partial dentures, dental implants, TMD-jaw joint problems, traumatic injuries to the mouth’s structure and/or teeth, snoring and sleep disorders and oral cancer reconstruction and continuing care.
